TWF Sustains its International Success in Governance and Sustainability

Türkiye Wealth Fund (TWF) has once again been recognized among the top five sovereign wealth funds that achieved the highest score increase in this year’s Global SWF GSR (Governance, Sustainability, Resilience) ranking — maintaining its strong momentum from last year.

The latest Global SWF GSR Scoreboard has once again recognized TWF for its strong performance in governance and sustainability — reaffirming TWF’s commitment to creating sustainable value for the Turkish economy as an asset-backed development fund.

Included in the GSR ranking since 2020, TWF raised its score to 80% in the 2025 edition, securing 20th place among all sovereign wealth funds evaluated. Since its debut on the list in 2020, TWF has achieved an impressive 64% increase in its score — ranking as the third highest overall improvement in this period.

After the Fund’s first score at 84th place in 2020, TWF has climbed 64 positions over six years. In the 2025 country ranking, Türkiye itself is placed 14th among the top 20 countries.

By highlighting TWF’s consistent progress in its GSR score, the report also underscores the Fund’s commitment to global best practices in governance, sustainability, and resilience.

Beyond its own initiatives, TWF continues to enhance the sustainability performance of its portfolio companies and reports these efforts annually to stakeholders through its Integrated Annual Report. These reports are prepared in alignment with the globally recognized GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards, which are widely used to assess and communicate organizations’ environmental, governance, and social performance.

In this way, TWF not only delivers enduring value to the Turkish economy, but also continually enhances its position among the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds by advancing its governance and sustainability practices in accordance with national and international standards.

About the GSR ranking

The GSR Scoreboard consists of 25 equally weighted binary (yes/no) indicators: 10 on governance, 10 on sustainability, and 5 on resilience. All elements are based solely on publicly available information, with scores expressed as percentages. The ranking covers the world’s 100 largest sovereign wealth funds and the 100 largest pension funds, generating over 5,000 data points and is updated annually.

In the 2024 GSR ranking, three sustainability indicators were updated to reflect emerging priorities such as framework alignment and net-zero commitments, and all components were further refined into sub-categories.
